Reflection Living Shawnee is truly a family operation as owners, Harry and Connie Baum, are continually involved, as are their four children and their spouses. The Baum’s mission is focused around a personal and intimate resident-centered concept that attempts to accommodate the residents’ individual needs, giving them the freedom to continue to make their own choices in life. We’ve been successful in the past by providing a balance of excellent care and sound business practices. Our vision is to provide the best options in caring for our Seniors for years to come.
Our Shawnee Owners
Dr. Harry and Connie Baum have been in the Long-Term Care business for more than twenty-eight years. Their experience has also been in various size organizations ranging from large corporate entities to family owned, single facility operations.
Harry, who holds a Doctorate in Adult Education and Administration from the University of Kansas, has a Long-Term Care Administrator’s License in both Kansas and Missouri and has been an administrator and owner in several settings. Harry is also active on the national level with the American Health Care Association where he serves on the Independent Owners Council.
Connie, who hold her Master’s degree in Nursing from the University of Phoenix, has been a Licensed Administrator and has been responsible for the development and implementation of specialized program, including sub-acute rehabilitation units, Alzheimer special care programs and assisted living neighborhoods. She currently serves as Sharon Lane Health Services Director of Nursing.
Angela & Michael Moore have over twenty-five years of experience in senior living care.
Angela, our Vice President of Operations has a Bachelor’s degree in Nursing and a Master’s degree in Health Care Administration. She has held a variety of positions ranging from charge nurse, Director of Nursing, VP of Nursing Services to Administrator. Angela was named 2010 Kansas Administrator of the Year by the Kansas Health Care Association and was also chosen for the American Health Care Association’s Future Leaders Program. Angela also holds a position on the Board of the Kansas Health Care Association.
Michael has an Associate’s degree in Aviation Maintenance and is licensed in Heating, Ventilation and Air Conditioning. He has maintained and kept our buildings operating for the last twenty-five years and is our Plant Operations Director.

Jennifer Bishard has been a Registered Nurse for over 18 years having graduated in 1998 from the University of Kansas School of Nursing. Jennifer has past experience in pediatric nursing and five years of experience with Sharon Lane Health Services. She’s held multiple positions in the Nursing department at Sharon Lance, including Transitional Care Director and Acting Director of Nursing.
